Vimmy the smokehouse Chef – As we approach the festive Christmas period, our Electrician Vimmy likes to make smoked cheeses along with chutneys. This is something Vimmy has been doing for a number of years now, and likes to think of himself as the electrical MasterChef.
Vimmy has experimented with a number of cheeses over the years, providing such delights as oak smoked cheddar, stilton & garlic and smoked brie, just to name a few. He has his own Facebook page which you can follow and place your orders from, his customer base is grown from strength to strength.
There are also chutneys you can order; each year people request them to get hotter, which Vimmy does. I purchased some cheese for myself last year and also some chutney for my partner. My partner loves hot and spicy food, the hotter the better. He found the longer the chutney was left, the hotter it gets. So, this year with it being made hotter than the previous year this should get his taste buds tingling hotter than normal.
I can’t wait for the cheese to be started, as the last few weeks all Vimmy seems to be cooking is curry!! I’m not a curry fan in the slightest, so I’m getting rather bored of looking at all his Facebook posts of food I don’t like. Although he did send me a photo of some lovely looking bread he made to try and make me feel better. The bread had not long come out of the oven, so I know it would have been lovely with a bit of butter and perhaps some cheese too.
